个人简介：
欧文·威尔逊生于德克萨斯州的达拉斯，1991年毕业于德克萨斯大学。兄弟三个都是演员。在与香港功夫巨星成龙合作主演《龙旋风》之前，欧文·威尔逊虽然也曾在几部颇为有名气的影片中露面，但一直无缘担当主角。皆着龙哥的名望，英俊潇洒的欧文·威尔逊渐渐为人所知。
欧文母亲是摄影师，父亲是广告经理，他还有一个哥哥和一个弟弟。威尔森自称上学时是个“捣蛋鬼”，曾被圣马克学院开除，在托马斯·杰弗逊学院上完大一并进入新墨西哥的一所军校学习，后来又进入德克萨斯大学，在那里，他遇到了人生中的良师益友威斯·安德森（Wes Anderson），两人一起撰写了《瓶装火箭》（Bottle Rocket）的剧本，剧本经过几次转手，到了詹姆斯·布鲁克斯（James L. Brooks）的手中，他以500万美元的薪酬请他们将其拍成同名影片。影片上映后虽然评论颇佳却只收回了100万美元。此后欧文来到好莱坞，和两个兄弟以及安德森住在一起。很快，他出演的《王牌特派员》（The Cable Guy）、《鬼入侵》（The Haunting）、《狂蟒之灾》（Anaconda）、《冠军的早餐》（Breakfast of Champions）等大制作电影在影评界引起轰动，他接演的影片开始多了起来，但片酬却没有增长多少。这个阶段，欧文出演的主要影片有《上海正午》（Shanghai Noon）、《拜见岳父岳母》（Meet the Parents） 和《深入敌后》（Behind Enemy Lines）等。
